SIWCW mainly focuses its activities for targeting unemployed, marginalized, back ward women and housewives who are deprived of various opportunities and wants to do something but have neither the skill nor knowledge and money.By providing different skill development and capacity building training to the women group it also helps them to start a small business based on their skill and interest.
It also provides them counseling and economic support to start the business so that they can lead an economically independent life. We believe that economic empowerment of women brings change and development in the society and ultimately contribute for development of the country.Since its establishment, SIWCW has been working for the empowerment of women and children. In this process, it has been organizing different skill development and income generating training to women group particularly focusing on Lalitpur district.
It has been organizing various capacity building and vocational training like sewing, knitting, beauty parlor, candle making, pickle making, bakery training etc. to housewives, and unemployed, illiterate, backward women in different places of Lalitpur district
After completion of training, the women group is also trained in leadership development,entrepreneurial and financial management, income generation and skill enhancement for their empowerment
The women group is also utilizing such training in producing various handmade products and these are marketed by SIWCW
The organization has a network of contacts with local suppliers, whole sellers, retailers and also participates in trade fair, exhibition and open marketplace for marketing of the products
The profits generated from selling the products is utilized for skill development of marginalized women and education support for their children.
